Duties
You will plan, direct, and implement and monitor seminars and workshops for separating personnel and family members to prepare them for transition to the civilian community.
You will serve as a technical expert/advisor on guidelines and regulations relative to the programs.
You will furnish counsel and advice to management officials and supervisors on program matters and policies.
You will plan, direct, implement and monitor participation and compliance with Transition Readiness Program (TRP) requirements, including training for Unit Transition Coordinators and Command Designees.
You will provide hands-on transition counseling to separating/retiring personnel and family members individually and in group training/information sessions.
You will promote and publicize the program to include written publications and personal contacts to stimulate interest and participation to ensure active support from commands.
You will analyze, evaluate, and prepare final documentation and review all submitted data to determine effectiveness of program operations in meeting established objectives.
You will identify problem areas, trends and significant program accomplishments concerning the administration of the TRP program.
Requirements

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implement and administer the transition program for separating and retiring service personnel and their family in their transition to the civilian community.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
I have successfully completed master's or equivalent graduate degree OR
I have successfully completed 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR
I have successfully completed an LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled
I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
