About the Position: Incumbent will serve as the Disability Evaluation System Program Specialist for 316 MDG Joint Base Andrews.

Duties

Verify medical records are complete. Administer a Military Treatment Facility’s (MTF’s) Disability Evaluation System (DES) program. Coordinate legal consultation and recovery care coordinator support. Compile data for reports. Input data into automated systems.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a TDY or business travel requirement of 5% of the time to various locations. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.
• This position requires Basic Life Support (BLS) training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross.
• Required to be screened for and obtain necessary immunizations/vaccinations (hepatitis, influenza, etc.), unless exempted by a licensed physician.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
