About the Position: This position is in the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Financial Management Analyst. Camp Pendleton is a large US Navy medical treatment facility in Oceanside, California, part of the United States' Military Health System. Located on Camp Pendleton in Camp Pendleton South, California in San Diego County.

Duties
Review and evaluate budget requests, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures to support plans, programs, and activities.
Analyze and reconcile a variety of accounts and financial transactions within multiple systems.
Run daily and non-daily accounting reports (Daily and Non-Daily Accounting), analyze, research, monitor and correct workflow errors and intermediate document errors daily and ensure that adjustments are properly documented and processed.
Review various sources of procurement and financial data such as SharePoint lists, Access Databases, Standard Procurement System, Business Intelligence to track and evaluate new and aged commitment items.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes provide assistance to assigned areas on accounting or budgeting functions; resolving financial and operational system issues in order to enhance programs and support activities; by analyze, research, monitor and correct workflow while utilizing budget or financial management automated systems.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Financial, Budget or Accounting.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
