You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist at MCTSSA of MCTSSA CAMPEN.

Duties

You will formulate budget and cost estimates to support organizational plans, programs, and activities. You will present and defend budget estimates, review and evaluate budget requests, and manage obligations and expenditure reporting. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend cost-benefit options for financial management of the organization's programs and operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets and advise on efficient fund acquisition and usage to support organizational programs and activities. You will serve as the command's technical expert in the design and analysis of financial management systems. You will plan and prioritize work, set schedules, develop performance standards, and evaluate employee performance as a supervisor.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 3 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leveraging federal accounting systems to advise on appropriation policies, conduct fiscal analysis, brief leadership on financial status, develop budgetary policies, and recommend cost-effective financial management methods for programs and operations.
