Duties

You will establish reimbursable projects, contract agreements to support reimbursable services, and perform cost distributions of grantee funding to reimburse direct funding and reduce direct expenditures. You will maintain records reflecting the use and status of reimbursable funds distributed to the various fund administrators by planning estimates or other means. You will prepare special reports pertaining to the status of the reimbursable funds allocated to the fund managers. You will Review subsidiary fiscal records and special reports to ensure that adequate procedures are being followed in recording transactions. You will Review current accounts, researching historical information not otherwise readily available. Develop comparative data reflecting relationships between accounts, time period, and cost of different operations. You will Communicate directly with other tenant commands and agencies aboard the installation regarding the status of their funds and the ability of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton to perform requested services. You will oversee implementation and development of comprehensive training programs designed to teach the use of the many DAI subsystems and interfaces to fund managers and other DAI users.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing budget, finance and accounting operations to support programs, establishing reimbursable projects, maintaining records tracking the use of reimbursable funds, developing contract agreements to support services and developing and implementing training programs teaching use of initiative subsystems and interfaces. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
