You will serve as a Supervisory Fire Protection Specialist in the Fire and Emergency Services of HDQTRS NDW.

Duties

You will administer a fire prevention program for an organization You will conduct proficiency training evaluations to monitor training needs of employees. You will manage the development and implementation of a risk management plan for a fire department

Requirements

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Identifying fire hazardous conditions to determine the appropriate action to take; 2) Providing guidance on fire codes and fire safety regulations and procedures; and 3) implementing and maintaining fire protection/prevention programs; and 4) Identifying developmental and training needs of other firefighter employees.
