You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Technical Liaison Oversight Branch, Acquisition Policy/Oversight Division, Contracts Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The NT-05 pay band encompasses equivalent to the GS-13 and 14.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. The salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).
Duties
You will provide process improvement initiatives in the area of Acquisition Planning and Data Analysis of Contracting and Acquisition metrics for NSWC Crane.
You will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the acquisition process beginning with the planning stage, requirements preparation through
contract award, administration, and completion/close-out.
You will identify current and future contract requirements, and develop a tactical plan to guide planning activities for NSWC Crane.
You will promote optimum efficiencies in resourcing and in meeting customer requirements.
You will ensure resources can and will be available to award contracts thus meeting customer/sponsor requirements.
You will be responsible for management of the Acquisition Plan including contact with departments for data solicitation and maintenance of current data in coordination with contracting.
You will extract data from the Acquisition Plan, manipulate data and generate reports, analyze and evaluate data and emerging trends.
You will be responsible for reporting status of planned acquisitions and actual execution of acquisitions.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating acquisition trends to develop improvements in processes, planning, development, and overall performance for an organization.
