This position provides general clerical as well as technical assistance to the My HealtheVet Coordinator by maintaining MHV Systems, Secure Messaging Program, and electronic and/or virtual assistive equipment. Requires work or a general support nature, which encompasses a variety of different duties and administrative office responsibilities. This position is responsible for attending all committee meetings, trainings, and outreach events within the Central Arkansas Veterans healthcare System.
Duties
Provides a variety of duties supporting the operations services within the organization.
Plan work to be accomplished and set short-term priorities establishing schedules for completion of assignments.
Assist in the management of all routine and daily administrative components of an office setting.
Assists in ensuring that issues/complaints raised by patients, their families and/or stakeholder are fully addressed.
Utilize workforce management/staff optimization principles to achieve staffing optimization.
Develops and maintains productive and cooperative relationships with internal and external groups, organizations and other entities.
Assist in coordinating and planning clinical operational programming concepts with facility operations providing oversight reducing and/or eliminating problems.
Works collaboratively with multiple services to promote state of-the-art business and technology systems for continuity of care.
Review directives and instructional material pertaining to administrative practices and clerical procedures of the facility.
Communicate with vendors and leadership the latest efficient technology and equipment available to healthcare organizations as it relates to the facilities delivery of quality of care.
Utilize administrative guides, manuals, samples etc. to complete forms and prepare correspondence.
Record and draft minutes of meetings ensuring any necessary follow up and informing management.
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:30am- 4:00pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/14/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: analyzes a variety of research reports, studies, fact sheets, and other documents; identifies problems and applying analytical techniques for the purpose of resolving issues; knowledge of and skill in automated data processing applications, e.g., desktop publishing, graphics, etc. to be able to design, establish, and operate in the operation of personal computer (PC) equipment; and communicates orally and in writing with a variety of people.

Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary, but may require periods of standing during presentations,
briefings, speeches, health fair activities, etc., although some slight physical effort may be required.
