Description of the Working Environment: Work is performed in an office setting.
Duties
Provide New Recruiter Orientation briefings to newly assigned recruiters.
Assist Test Control Officer with duties related to accountable and controlled test materials as defined by regulatory guidance.
Resolve test scoring automation issues.
Determine applicant eligibility to test to ensure test score integrity.
Ensure valid test scores are entered timely into the automated accession reporting system in accordance with policies and procedures.
Report incidents of test loss and compromise.
Provide training on proper test score data entry to testing personnel.
Oversee security and accountability over testing procedures to ensure validation of test scoring automation applications.
Serve as liaison to MEPS service liaison personnel for test score reporting.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Evening and weekend work as required.
- Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a driver's license.
- Overseas Testing for Honolulu may have responsibilities to score tests from overseas locations.
This requires knowledge of the testing process unique to overseas sites given by Army, Navy, and Air Force Education offices.
- Also unique to the Honolulu MEPS are deployments to Guam and the Republic of the Marshall Islands to administer ASVAB tests and to participate as a member of the MEPS processing team.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves managing controlled items in an office setting; operating a variety of office automation equipment; giving oral instructions to groups of people; maintaining and filing applicant records; conducting aptitude testing of applicants; and ensuring security/accountability of testing materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Applicants who are current Federal employees or who are eligible for Reinstatement may be able to qualify with experience equivalent to the second lower grade, (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Applicants that are Current Federal employees or who are eligible for Reinstatement that have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade, (GS-05).
