This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Little Rock Commercial Loan Service Center in Little Rock, AR. The incumbent provides administrative support and advice to the office, work group or function covering a wide range of matters impacting SBA program initiatives.
Duties
Customer interaction and assistance. Respond to phone calls and attend to walk in customers.
Administration and operational support to the office. Assist with fiscal management and property and facility administration.
Uses office automation systems and various software packages to accomplish work.
Signs for mail and package delivery and distributes mail to appropriate parties.
Proactively and professionally facilitates the setup, coordination and scheduling of office meetings and
teleconferences with internal and external organizations.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- This is a bargaining unit position with AFGE Local 228.
- This is not a (drug) testing designated position (TDP).
Qualifications
GS-07: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector performing administrative tasks in a busy, multi-function office which includes: preparing a variety of correspondence, reports, forms and other documentation using automated systems (databases and all other office software/hardware suites); record keeping, timekeeping, maintaining office files, collateral files, inventory management, travel arrangements, screening telephone calls and visitors, and advising others on office operations, all while prioritizing tasks according to the greatest need.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled.

Combination of Experience and Education:
GS-07: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 6 months (9 semester hours/14 quarter hours) of graduate level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position.
