The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. As a IT Specialist (OS), you will be supporting a critical acquisition software system that the U.S. Army needs to operate every day. The General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) product office develops, acquires, integrates, deploys, and sustains enterprise-wide financial and procurement management capabilities to support the Army's current and future missions.
Duties
Perform a variety of complex system engineering, network engineering, integration, and implementation.
Responsible for a variety of analysis and systems design activities in design, development, systems integration, and acquisition of software, hardware, and telecommunications. Identifies network, hardware, software information assurance requirements
Integrates the various subsystems engineering products to ensure proper interfacing and attainment of established objectives.
Executes normal/daily IA activities such sustaining requirements for robust IA programs, maintaining the Risk Management Framework and managing Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) programs.
Identifies and balances risks, selects alternatives, and plans how to best accomplish the goals and objectives of the project within recognized guidelines.
Visits sites worldwide to conduct preliminary and final site design reviews.
Reviews input from team leaders at integrated logistics systems sites worldwide for appropriateness of requests, availability of resources, and compatibility with the integrated logistics effort.
Develops and defense documentations, presentations and briefing charts to leadership as required.
Requirements

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements in Acquisition Career Field N – Engineering and Technical Management certification at Level I- Foundational within 36 months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: In order to qualify for this position your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level in the Federal service which includes:
(1) Providing consultation and instruction to functional area users on complex database and file accessing techniques, search strategies, processing and space utilization efficiencies, database security procedures, backup and program recovery techniques, and testing techniques within a cloud based environment; AND
(2) Applying analytical reasoning, evaluation, and communication skills in order to define and document requirements and specifications needed to meet objectives and program mission; AND
(3) Developing cost proposal for identified solution in order to support planning, programing, budget and execution (PPBE) process and as part of the overall acquisition lifecycle.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent).
