You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (AIR OPS) in the AIR TERMINAL OPERATIONS CENTER (ATOC) DIVISION of NAVAL AIR TERMINAL.
Duties
You will approve inbound aircraft using Prior Permission Required (PPR) Procedures and the civil aircraft landing permit program.
You will prepare documents, files, receipts, and other paperwork in accordance with applicable records management processes and procedures.
You will brief others as an airfield subject matter expert on the potential impacts to an airfield and safety of flight.
You will analyze existing transportation policies and regulations to recommend changes for procedural improvements.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Functions as an inbound/outbound information controller coordinating operational activities with subordinate work centers for operational continuity; 2Monitors published sequence of events and maintains surveillance over Navy/AMC Air Terminal activities to ensure efficient, safe and timely execution to meet airlift schedules; 3) Communicates and coordinates with outside agencies for operational effectiveness; 4) Coordinates traffic activities and/or Utilizes Air Terminal Operations Center Procedures; 5) Maintains ability to operate vehicles and equipment on the airfield flight line.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, nautical science, marine affairs, marine engineering, marine transportation, or other fields related to the position.
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
