You will serve as a Marine Transportation Specialist in the FUOPS Tanker Operations (N351B), Future Operations/STF OPS (N351), Future Operations (N35), of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will provide oversight and coordination of commercial tankers on charter to MSC with daily interaction with MSC Area Command, DLA-Energy, USTRANSCOM, commercial tanker operators/owners/brokers and ship agent responsive.
You will provide oversight and coordination cost-effective operation of the MSC Tanker Fleet
You will serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for tankers under extended term charter to meet DLA-E lift requirements and to carry out DoD mission requirements.
You will validate and certify contractor invoices.
You will generate contracting procurement actions such as Sources Sought, Initial Government Estimates, Performance Work Statements, and Technical Evaluations for MSC time and voyage spot charters.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time up to 10%.
Qualifications
For GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience:
Experience planning and accomplishing a variety of complex work assignments to resolve transportation issues.
Experience gathering information to arrive at a course of action or a recommendation.
Experience developing a methodology for data collection, to analyze it for logical conclusion, and present it in a meaningful manner.
