This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of the Administrator, Office of Compliance (AC).
This position(s) primary purpose is to identify, analyze, and track compliance trends, risks, best practices, and issues throughout DEA.
Duties
As a Program Analyst, your typical work assignments may include:
Facilitate discussions with crucial stakeholders to assess the control environment and identify weaknesses;
Develop written analysis reports and mitigation plans;
Facilitate discussions with field and headquarters divisions to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts across DEA to isolate weaknesses, analyze compliance gaps, and conduct risk assessments of DEA programs and policies.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
Have at least one full year of qualifying specialized experience that is at least equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed at the GS-13 grade level.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting an organization with a variety of public administration programs; 2) Leading teams or working groups with auditing, internal controls, or risk assessment duties; 3) Planning compliance management, cycles, guidelines, and policies.
