The Civil Division, with more than 1,000 attorneys and 14 litigating components and represents the United States. This position is located in the Civil Division, Office of Management Programs, Office of Planning, Budget and Evaluation, Finance and Accounting Branch. You will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and negotiating reimbursable/ inter-agency agreements for the Division.
Duties
Performing work involving the administration of a robust reimbursable program of high dollar value up to $400 million per year.
Performing work involving the direct oversight of approximately .75 billion dollars of reimbursements.
Establishing reimbursable agreements utilizing G-Invoicing, Reimbursable Work Orders, MIPR's & Treasury forms 7600a & 7600b
Reviewing G-Invoicing performance transactions, IPAC's, SF-1080's and internal vouchers are properly supported and post accurately.
Monitoring agreements paying very close attention to the various types of funding for both the period of performance and period of obligation.
Developing operating plans and tracks expenditures against availability levels.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
- You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Financial Specialist, (GS-0501-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade.
If you are a current Department of Justice employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.
To qualify for the GS-14 Information Financial Specialist position, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level performing duties such as establishing complete and thorough reimbursement agreements, collaborating with the program offices on funds availability, serving as the point of contact for financial audits for reimbursable related activities and proactively reviewing internal controls, identifying potential problems, and recommending appropriate mechanisms to address potential weaknesses and areas of concern
