You will serve as an Administrative Technical Specialist in the NAVSURFWARCEN PORT HUENEME DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPT D20 of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as the Division Supportability Integrator (SI) responsible for overseeing all Division Product Support activities and ensure the technical quality of the division's logistics products and processes.
You will assist the Product Support Branch Manager in determining which positions require formal Qualifications or Certifications to satisfy program requirements and provide input to their Individual Development Plan and performance assessments.
You will be responsible for ensuring health and sustainability of assigned weapon systems consider supportability in system designs and the elements necessary for suitable and cost-effective operation.
You will work with the Division Lead Engineer to develop and monitor supportability and engineering processes across the Division.
You will prepare technical papers and/or lead investigations to address deficiencies in supportability areas, develop metrics for department programs.
You will serve as a member of selected internal/external agency assessments and command-level working group.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to perform occasional onboard shipwork.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least ne year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating readiness and supportability requirements to manage and guide Product Support Integration activities of shipboard weapon systems, warfare systems and programs.
