This position is in the Support Services Branch (SSB), Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Financial Directorate (FD), United States Mint. As a Support Services Specialist, you will ensure proper control, accountability, maintenance, and storage of that information.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-09. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Be responsible for writing and reviewing policies and guidelines pertaining to mailroom and labor services, parking and public transportation incentives, 801 conference room scheduling, letterhead for Mint usage and Fleet Management in accordance with guidelines established by the Department of Treasury, FMR and GSA Lead construction and relocation projects and be responsible for guidance and overseeing Support Services Liaisons and the AutoCAD Operator in their roles as supporting team members Review supporting documents, floor plans, design and layout specifications, and cost proposals for alterations, relocations, and new construction projects Provide administrative and technical oversight for accomplishing the critical and necessary work in support of the United States Mint's Headquarters Be responsible for reviewing the progress of various projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and within the established budget proposed for the project

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Be sure all experience is documented in your resume by indicating place of employment, job title, length of time performing the duties, and the name and contact information for the supervisor. We must be able to verify this experience in your resume in order for you to receive credit. Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-07 level or equivalent in either public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: - Coordinating and overseeing office space utilization in accordance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); AND - Managing projects; AND - Writing and reviewing policies and procedures relevant to support services in line with the organization's goals and objectives. OR You may qualify with a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. ( Please attach a copy of your transcript or list of college courses designating semester or quarter hours earned to ensure proper credit) OR You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. Graduate Education: Major study -- public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-09 you must have been at the GS-07level for 52 weeks.
