Duties
You will perform a variety of technical engineering duties associated with planning, preparation, product support, or certifying tests.
You will develop or modify technical work documents such as, specifications, quality assurance inspections and test requirements, process instructions, or drawings.
You will provide job planning and engineering services including preparing work documents that define scope, requirements, specifications, skills necessary, cost estimates and man hours required for work accomplishment.
You will troubleshoot, analyze and resolve technical, administrative, financial and scheduling problems related to assigned work.

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-10 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and developing technical engineering procedures or work methods to identify, evaluate and resolve operational problems or work control deficiencies and recommend improved work procedures or corrective action in support of the repair, modification, or overhaul of ships or submarines.
For the GS-09 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing technical engineering procedures or work methods to identify and evaluate operational problems or work control deficiencies and recommend solutions or corrective action in support of the repair, modification, or overhaul of ships or submarines.
