You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) in the MRO Logistics Department, Industrial Supply Division, Industrial Material Management Branch of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will create or modify spreadsheets and databases to assist in the planning, tracking, and completion of maintenance requirements for unrestricted operations inspections. You will brief production managers on the progress achieved toward meeting financial objectives. You will analyze cause for delay to determine corrective action for production scheduling issues. You will control aircraft industrial products through production cycles that require multiple processes. You will determine need for production resources (e.g., manpower, materials, equipment, staff support) for an organization. You will develop project technical documents (e.g., cost estimates, bills of material, production processes, production schedule) to meet projects goals. You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Apply production control methods, techniques, practices, procedures, and operations to the production of aircraft, engines, and components; 2) Utilize computer systems to store, interpret, and retrieve production process information; 3) Utilize production control techniques to control back robbing, exchanges, and cannibalization to alleviate bit and piece parts and material shortages. 4) Recommend adjustments to resolve production scheduling problems and expedite production completion deadlines; 5) Provide training and assistance to lower-level production controllers as assigned or needed; 6) Investigate causes for production delay and stoppages; 7) Recommend solutions to alleviate production operation problems.
