You will serve as a Training Administrator in the Deputy Supply Office (501), Supply Department (500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will independently plan and carry out work, determined appropriate approach, content of instruction and methodology to use to achieve stated objectives.
You will counsel students on progress and suggest how improvements can be made.
You will develop supplementary materials, classroom techniques an, mockups, written and practical exams and training devices/aids to meet specific needs.
You will collaborate with instructors, specialist, supervisors, managers, subject matter experts and employees at all levels within the shipyard.
You will instruct, plan coordinate and advise on training efforts and resolve issues connected with the training provided.
Requirements

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- You will be required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds in weight.
- You will be required to distinguish between colors and shades of colors.
Qualifications
GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to theGS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with practical knowledge of education and training principles, techniques, and practices;
Experience in core material and supply principles, as well as DOD specific supply and material policies, procedures, regulations, and ability to interpret/translate same;
Experience in cradle-to-grave supply chain management concepts and requirements;
Experience utilizing exceptional analytical skills in conducting studies/research/trend analysis/program assessment/quality assurance;
Experience in conducting, assessing, developing, and coordinating training;
Experience in writing skills/editing practices and proper attention to detail;
Experience in communicating effectively across various levels of personnel from trade persons to technicians to higher leadership;
Experience in all aspects of Project Management.
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to theGS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with conceptual and procedural knowledge of education and training principles, techniques, and practices;
Experience in basic understanding of core material and supply principles, as well as DOD specific supply and material policies, procedures, regulations, and ability to interpret/translate same;
Experience and broad knowledge of cradle-to-grave supply chain management concepts and requirements;
Experience utilizing analytical skills to conduct studies/research/trend analysis/program assessment/quality assurance;
Experience in conducting, assessing, developing, and coordinating training;
Experience in writing skills/editing practices and attention to detail;
Experience communicating effectively across various levels of personnel from trade persons to technicians to higher leadership;
Experience in all aspects of Project Management.

GS-12:
No education substitution
GS-11:
Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
Possession of an LL.M., if related
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
