You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Production Resources Department (Code 900), Production Workforce Development and Resource Manager (900B), Consolidated Training Division (Code 900T), Non-Nuclear Training Branch (Code 900T.1) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will identify workforce training needs based on an analysis of current/future shipyard training requirements, changes in technology, workforce demographics, and other relevant factors.
You will define program goals and oversee the development of metrics to measure effectiveness of those goals.
You will coordinate and oversee the development of training courses to ensure they meet the needs of the Production trades.
You will recommend the purchase of classroom equipment to enhance classroom interaction and learner experience.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in shipyard trades and non-nuclear work operations in order to provide instructional and educational training.
Experience organizing, directing, and evaluating the performance of a large group of Training Instructors.
Experience with personnel regulations, procedures and EEO Policy.
Experience managing a changing workload and workforce.
Experience developing new methods, techniques or approaches to improve upon those already established.
Experience using various software, including databases, spreadsheets and word processing software.
