Duties

You will serve as a a Logistics Management Specialist position within the NIWC Atlantic material management competency. You will perform all essential tasks to accomplish material management and distribution operations while ensuring compliance with all applicable local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulations, policies and other applicable requirements. You will ensure all Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) are submitted to the transaction records in a timely and effective manner to maintain FIAR compliance. You will provide excellent customer support by effectively communicating with all internal and external stakeholders and promptly assisting and responding to all inquiries. You will be responsible for performing causative research and corrective actions for material discrepancies in both Navy ERP and CMPRO while also participating in inventories and continuous improvement initiatives.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in standard supply regulations, policies, and procedures, audit and warehouse material inspection compliance programs, MHE equipment, and effective customer support strategies. 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
