You will serve as an IT Specialist (CUSTSPT/NETWORK) in the Office of the Judge Advocate General (OJAG) of NLSC.

Duties
You will continuously monitor and maintain system and network performance, promptly analyzing and resolving complex issues.
You will install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software for servers and workstations as needed while developing and maintaining security protocols to protect network and data integrity.
You will support and troubleshoot local and remote access issues to ensure seamless connectivity, along with maintaining and optimizing local area networks (LAN), storage devices, and physical and virtual environments.
You will compile and present reports on end-user support metrics, keeping the team informed of management plans and objectives while reviewing IT customer support services for compliance with established processes.
You will work with team members to develop common approaches and facilitate the coordination of initiatives while maintaining a library of reference materials to answer procedural questions.
You will leverage their knowledge of cloud architecture to deploy, configure, and monitor cloud-based resources effectively.
You will be responsible for configuring and customizing the platform to enhance IT service management processes, ensuring that it aligns with organizational needs.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
You resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a knowledge of established IT techniques and requirements related to networks, intranet, and telecommunications regulations, policy, and guidance. I am able to communicate well both orally and in writing. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administering, developing, delivering, and supporting IT systems and services for customers across both on-premises and cloud environments; 2) Building, maintaining, and supporting an organization's virtualized infrastructure, with a focus on administering cloud environments and providing server and desktop operating system support in a diverse setting; 3) Performing Tier 3 systems administration, addressing complex issues with innovative approaches to problem solving; 4) Planning, designing, developing, and integrating network systems to align with existing or planned infrastructures; 5) Enhancing IT systems and services, developing and implementing new methods, approaches, and procedures for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining customer hardware and software; and 6) Utilizing a knowledge of cybersecurity regulations, policies, and practices.
