About the Position: The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) develops and delivers responsive aviation, missile and calibration materiel readiness to the U.S. Army. The position is located within AMCOM Logistics Center, Materiel Support DIR however, multiple vacancies maybe filled using this announcement.
Duties
Serves as a Contract analyst within the AMCOM Logistics Center (ALC), Materiel Management Directorate, Demil Program Office.
Assuring that critical demilitarization actions are integrated and properly executed within the directorate to provide timely, cohesive and accurate logistics support.
Advises on all phases of contract planning and execution, change of orders and delivery processes including requirements definition, justification, and approval of contract extension, evaluation proposals and all phases of contract administration.
Develop contract support documents in order to assist in resolving problems that arise during the performance of the contracts.
Recommend solutions to substantive, complex problems and potential problem areas that have impact on plans, programs, schedules, and deliveries.
Requirements
- The incumbent of this position is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- The incumbent of this position is required to submit pre-employment financial statement disclosure (OGE Form450) and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Incumbent is required to travel away from the duty station (TDY) on multiple overnight trips up to 15% of the time.
- Incumbent must possess, obtain and maintain Foundation Level Acquisition Certification in Contracting Professional within 36 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized experience is defined as: 1) experience related to developing performance work statements and other contract documentation for various types of contract and procurement actions 2) contract planning and execution of contract modification and change/delivery order processes 3) and developing acquisition milestones and maintaining controls to ensure that contract award is accomplished. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
