You will serve as a MANAGER in the Corporate Operations Department (10) within the Security Division (105) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Duties
You will serve as Division Manager to provide supervisory oversight and technical leadership for employees within the Security Division.
You will oversee development and implementation of policies/procedures for the following security programs: physical security, operations security, information security, personnel security, industrial security, and Anti-terrorism/Force Protection.
You will be responsible for processing official visit requests to make sure adequate clearance and need-to-know exists; determine eligibility for issuance of personnel security clearances.
You will control dissemination of classified information within the Division; to other U.S. government agencies, foreign governments, and international defense organizations; and to individuals or activities both foreign and domestic.
You will manage and oversee the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI)/Communications Security, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Privacy Act Programs.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining long/short term planning for funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent grade level) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing security programs (e.g. physical security, personnel security, information security, industrial security, antiterrorism/force protection) to ensure compliance with security program requirements.
