Duties
You will maintain overall responsibility for the Installation Commander Organization Geographic Information System (GIS) processes and problems for the accomplishment of work through application of computer technology.
You will answer data calls and perform mapping, spatial analysis and modeling of geospatial information within the ICO's region's Area of responsibility.
You will provide consultation on statements of work and cost estimates which have mapping and/or GIS data deliverables.
You will perform GIS data collection, maintenance and publishing, typical sources include GPS collection, CAD files, coordinates, feature extraction from imagery and other GIS data.
You will provide GIS date to support site design and site approvals (constraints) support, and technical decision support such as 3D landscapes, line of sight analysis and drainage modeling.
You will provide map compilation and publishing to include; basemaps, facility maintenance responsibility, pavement and utilities linear segmentation, and utilities distribution systems.
You will provide technical GIS and GIS subject matter consultation, training and support to the assigned user group to facilitate the successful and efficient usage of the NAVFAC GIS data, maps and software.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising stakeholders on alternative approaches in GIS data maintenance, QA/QC, and publishing procedures; 2) Applying GIS hardware, software, and applications to support an installation's GIS data products; 3) Providing technical and cartographic assistance to GIS data and system users.
