You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the MAINTENANCE AND MATERIAL READINESS DIRECTORATE of COMSUBFOR.
Duties
You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating, enforcing and maintaining the Force Quality Assurance, SUBSAFE, SOC, and FBW Programs throughout Atlantic Fleet Submarine Force.
You will apply advanced and complex quality assurance, SUBSAFE, SOC, and FBW program concepts and requirements for the Atlantic Fleet Submarine Force.
You will apply operating principles and methodology to the management of the quality SUBSAFE, SOC, and FBW certification programs for the Atlantic Fleet Submarine Force.
You will monitor, evaluate, and track forces afloat management of SUBSAFE, SOC, and FBW certification continuity.
You will monitor, evaluate, and track forces afloat and repair activity Quality Assurance Programs.
You will be responsible for assessments of Immediate Superior in Commands (ISIC) and Fleet Maintenance Activities (FMA) as part of Fleet Maintenance Activity Assessments (FMAAs).
You will monitor, evaluate, adjudicate, and track SUBSAFE certification status of submarines of this Force.
You will evaluate, adjudicate, and track SUBSAFE, SOC, FBW and all other Departure from Specifications (DFS) status of submarines of this Force.
You will maintain/track certification and maintenance of deep submergence assets and dry deck shelters.
You will serve as staff sponsor for COMUSFLTFORCOMINST 4790.3 Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), for Work Control issues and the Tagout User’s Manual
You will act as a principal Staff point-of-contact for Radiological Affairs Support Office (RASO) related issues.

Qualifications
To qualify for the Quality Assurance Specialist, GS-1912-13 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience with and mastery knowledge of Submarine Force mission requirements, objectives, Fleet Quality Processes, NAVSEA Quality Processes, and Material Control to analyze, codify, and make risk mitigation decisions.
Experience and expert knowledge and understanding of the NAVSEA and Fleet processes to document and obtain approval, as required, when adjudicating a deviation from engineering procedures and requirements.
Experience with and expert knowledge of quality assurance, control, and SUBSAFE/SOC/FBW methods, principles and practices, including statistical analysis and sampling techniques is required.
Experience and expert knowledge in analysis and resolution of sensitive problems related to the Quality Assurance, SUBSAFE, SOC, and FBW certification process in accordance with NAVSEA and Fleet Quality Processes.
Experience and expert knowledge of the engineered safeguards instituted with respect to reactor safety.
Experience and expert skill in conducting problem analysis and developing logical and documented recommendations.
Experience utilizing Web Authoring in presenting facts, recommendations, and reports in a clear and concise manner.
