You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Voyage Repair Team (VRT), Fleet Readiness Center, Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA), located in Norfolk, Virginia and Mayport, Florida of FLTREADCEN DET MID ATLANTIC PAX RIVER.

Duties

You will ensure the quality and reliability in Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) catapult and arresting gear system maintenance and overhaul processes aboard aircraft carriers, air capable ships and shore facilities. You will interpret statistical quality data that can depict the quality performance level of various critical processes. You will conduct in-house audits, oversee quality control processes, analyze data, and develop strategies or policies to achieve higher quality.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (a) Substantial knowledge and experience in ensuring the quality and reliability in Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) catapult and arresting gear system maintenance and overhaul processes aboard aircraft carriers, air capable ships and shore facilities; (b) Leadership and technical expertise within an ALRE maintenance and overhaul organization that includes conducting in-house audits, overseeing quality control processes, analyzing data, and developing strategies or policies to achieve higher quality; (c) Training in ALRE quality assurance and maintenance processes and techniques and the ability to interpret statistical quality data that can depict the quality performance level of various critical processes; (d) Experience in or understanding of a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure personnel, processes, procedures, and other resources meet ISO 9001, NAVAIR, NAVSEA, and other applicable standards; and (e) Interface with customers/stakeholders to convey requirements and receive feedback on team performance.
