Duties
You will perform multi-trade maintenance and repair tasks involved in the upkeep of facilities, utility systems, infrastructure, and dynamic equipment.
You will support routine and emergency service work, repair, and minor construction projects via performing multi-trade work.
You will maintain, operate, and repair buildings, roads, grounds, and equipment, including troubleshooting of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing system components as wells as building maintenance such as carpentry, masonry, glass, and paint work.
You will respond quickly and appropriately in identifying and arresting emergencies to prevent structure, property, systems, or equipment damages.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to furnish basic hand tools typical of the trade(s). Special tools pertaining to the trade(s) will be furnished by the organization.
- The selectee will work assigned shifts, but is subject to call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- This position requires you to lift/carry up to 100lbs.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- The employee must have normal vision and hearing with or without corrective devices and the ability to distinguish basic colors relating to electrical wiring, paints, titles, etc.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
