Duties
You will perform emergency and routine repair work to structures, real property, utility systems, and dynamic equipment, requiring multi-trade job skills in the structural, mechanical, and electrical trades.
You will perform work, including carpentry, paint, masonry, glass, plumbing/pipe fitting, industrial equipment repair, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) work, as well as electrical repair and installation.
You will interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to determine material, tools, and equipment needed for the project and how or what repairs need to be completed.
You will determine when structures, parts, and/or components need to be repaired, adjusted, or cleaned.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or NON-SENSITIVE security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to POSSESS and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license. NOTE: failure to provide a copy with your application will result in disqualification, and you will not be referred to the hiring manager
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required
- You will be required to work on assigned shift but will also be subject to call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- You will be required to be able to lift and carry 100 pounds of weight for short distances.
- You will be required to furnish basic hand tools typical of the trade.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
