Duties

You will install and make repairs on various domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems. You will assist in the installation and repair of various small and domestic heating units and systems. You will assist in the installation, modification, and repairs of new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water, natural gas, lavatories, showers, sinks, dishwashers, stoves, and air compression equipment. You will perform scheduled maintenance on electrical equipment including motors and fire alarm systems. You will make repairs to complex components such as feed water regulators. You will repair or replace electrical switches, motors, belts, and wiring.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You must possess and maintain an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certificate for Freon Handling. NOTE: failure to provide this with your application will result in not being referred to the hiring manager.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including installing and repairing air conditioning units, plumbing systems and electrical systems along with other comparable equipment.
