As an HR Assistant (Employee Benefits) GS-0203-05 in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), OPM Human Resources you will provide personnel and administrative support related to employee benefits, workforce flexibilities, and wellness programs.
Duties
Processing benefits changes.
Responding to email benefits inquiries.
Providing support for telework, remote work, and wellness programs.
Performing administrative and clerical tasks such as data entry, maintaining records, assisting with onboarding, and supporting HR specialists.
Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-04 level in the federal government (or equivalent) coordinating benefit changes, handling inquiries, managing leave program submissions, and assisting with telework support. It also includes maintaining communication and providing accurate information to employees regarding HR policies and benefits.
OR
A Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of education above the high school level.
OR
An equivalent combination of specialized experience and college level education.
Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-04 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-5 level.
