Duties
Provides expertise, direction, and oversight for specialized policies, processes, and procedures for the Planning Division of the Logistics Policy and Programs organization.
Evaluates and recommends disposition of request for waivers to statutory requirements and deviations from DoD and DLA policy and directives.
Analyzes new and proposed policies to determine the extend of their influence upon the existing Planning policies and regulations and the process objectives.
Responsible for the review, analysis, and development of Planning policy, procedures, and business rules for DLA.
Functional expert, facilitating the end-to-end business cycle design as fully synchronized with DLA’s continually evolving strategic direction and transformational programs.
Evaluates cost, time investment, and quality of performance, integrating and collaborating with other functional areas to deliver cross functional solutions to end-to-end problems.
Responds to industry and congressional concerns and makes recommendations regarding Planning matters requiring resolution at the senior Agency, Office of the Secretary of Defense, or Congressional levels.
Directs the work of the branch, as well as teams of Planning specialists located at field activities to review and evaluate process strategies and ensure compliance with Agency needs.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Systems Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Expert knowledge of the global defense supply chain objectives, plans, policies, practices, and resources to develop and implement strategies for executing the specialized Planning process.
Clear understanding of the audit readiness, end-to-end processes within a functional area, to include manual and system processes and their internal controls.
Formulates execution strategies and policies, evaluates current and proposed process improvements, identifies new and improved applications, and plans for long range efficiency enhancements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
