Duties
The incumbent will serve as the senior staff supply specialist in the DLA Operations and Sustainment (J-31), Nuclear Enterprise (NE), and Space Enterprise (SE) Support Office.
Provides guidance and recommends policy improvements for all nuclear and space enterprise coded weapon systems.
Collaborates across DoD agencies and departments to develop and implement initiatives to reduce applicable weapon system shortfalls.
Analyze and evaluate all aspects of weapon system support including requirements determination and supply chain execution.
Monitor and analyze DLA Logistical support and its effect on Military Service readiness posture and overall customer satisfaction.
Develops and coordinates solutions to provide responses regarding policy oversight and related issues.
Works closely with Military Services and Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) in DLA Supply Chain support to Nuclear and Space Enterprise weapon systems.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supply Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Knowledge of DOD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution concepts, practices, and life cycles to formulate and direct relevant functional needs in a time-sensitive environment.
Knowledge of the policies and procedures used by other DOD components and Federal Agencies to develop improved business practices among supply systems and other organizations.
Comprehensive and expert knowledge of materiel management concepts and programs.
Writing policies, procedures, and agreements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
