This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and delivering Leadership Education and Development courses, seminars, and workshops in assigned project area(s). Advises the Department Head of Leadership Education and Development Training Program and the Director of E&T on the oversight and direction of the institute's Leadership Education and Development training programs.
Duties
As a LEADERSHIP EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Develops and executes the long-range training plans to establish the detailed ways and means used to achieve program objectives. The incumbent collaborates extensively with subject matter experts and CoE stakeholders.
Provides extensive advisory assistance of the most difficult and complex nature in the area of human relations, command climate, and organizational culture. Continually reviews and analyzes laws, regulations, and policies to ensure training programs remain current.
Provides immediate and periodic updates to appropriate officials on training program quality and program improvements.
Applies advanced knowledge of the federal EO, EEO, and personnel system including a thorough knowledge of the principals, concepts, legal requirements, and methodology of the various human relations topics as each relates to the Department of Defense workforce in order to perform difficult and complex assignments in assigned area(s) of responsibility (AoR) involving DoD civilian employees and military members.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Participating in the development of instructional materials and curriculum for a human relations program, i.e. EO, EEO, Leadership Education and Development training program.
Delivering training and instructional materials for a human relations program.
Collaborating with stakeholders to promote the objectives and goals of a human relations training program.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
