You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the In-Service Radar Program Management (PM2) Command (00) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses the GS-13/14. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. The salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).

Duties

You will provide programmatic support for various programs within the PEO-IWS portfolio. Primary program wil be AN/SPQ-9B radar system, however additional programs within the portfolio will also require support as they progress through the lifecycle. You will work with various entities to develop plans related to program funding and resource allocation. You will be responsible for technical and acquisition planning and execution. You will manage production, design and repair contracts. You will direct and decide on feasibility of engineering development efforts for radar sustainment and supportability. You will lead and provide oversight management for developing long and short-range plans, schedules, budgets, task planning sheets, set policy for system management, and serve as a member or leader of multiple integrated product teams across NAVSEA. You will develop formal presentations to justify, explain, defend, or report on program events.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent grade level) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing technical and acquisition plans, budgets or requirements for the management and sustainment of radar system programs for the fleet.
