About the Position: Serves as Fox Army Health Center (FAHC) Chief, Operations and Security, and principal advisor to the clinic commander on all emergency planning/management, training, mobilization, readiness, and security activities (both classified and unclassified).

Duties

Provide technical and administrative guidance to employees within the Fox Army Operations and Security Division to ensure program compliance with the Joint Commission and other legislation. Utilize the Army Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS) and Digital Training Management System (DTMS) to manage training requirements for all military and civilian personnel within the Fox Army Health Clinic. Develop Fox Army Health Clinic emergency preparedness and response plans to address the seriousness and complexity of actual and potential emergency situations. Oversee the execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual command training calendar to ensure all training requirements have been completed. Evaluate the existing Fox Army Health Clinic Emergency Operations Plan to perform annual provisions to policies and procedures. Represent the Fox Army Health Clinic at emergency preparedness planning conferences and meetings with representatives of higher headquarters, state and local emergency medical agencies and other private organizations. Provide supervisory oversight to Fox Army Health Clinic Physical and Personnel Security Management, Operations, and Force Protection programs to assure program efficiency. Oversee administrative functions for the Operations and Security division assuring that subordinate employees perform assigned duties and receive developmental opportunities.

Requirements

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement less than 5% of the time.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is emergency-essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternative, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
