Duties

Provide guidance and oversight for a wide variety of activities relative to command-wide Risk Management and Internal Control (RMIC) efforts. Assist in the developing and maintaining of an Internal Control Evaluation Plan (ICEP), based on the applicable regulations and associated evaluations and any additional areas identified by commanders and Accessible Unit Managers. Facilitate the process for identifying and reporting Material Weaknesses, significant deficiencies, and control deficiencies. Ensure all required information is developed and reported in the RMIC Annual Statement of Assurance. Serve as DCSCMP OIP Coordinator. Provide assistance to internal and external agencies regarding their inspections, surveys, and/or audit findings and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
