About the Position: Serve as a subject-matter expert and Branch Chief in the Crime Records Center for the Compliance Branch. Ensure compliance with the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (DACID) Records Management (RM) program through the Army Law Enforcement Record Lifecycle. Position is located in Quanitco, VA.

Duties

Serve as a subject-matter expert entrusted with managing the Army Law Enforcement Compliance and File Demand Programs (Compliance Branch). Serve as the Records Administrator (RA) with DACID-wide responsibilities to ensure the creation of records throughout each office and serves as the technical expert for the records management program. Request Army law enforcement criminal record inquiries to determine whether an adverse criminal history record exists for an individual. Coordinate with DACID staff and other Federal Agencies to ensure the accuracy and pertinence of data requested. Provide guidance on the quality control and compliance of investigative reports, ensuring the accurate entry of criminal history and personal identifying data in computer databases. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • DRUG TESTING: This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
