You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Expeditionary Missions Program Office (PMS 408) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.
Duties
You will serve as principal advisor to leadership on the development, implementation and revision of financial management plans and programs to facilitate the effective, efficient, and timely application of financial resources.
You will generate, recommend and implement new and revised financial management concepts to include Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR), methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization's programs.
You will direct and perform continuing program execution review, analysis, and appraisal of the major operating and support programs.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program financial status and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will coordinate budget development and respond to data calls from PEO, Comptroller, and Resource Sponsor for cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization.
You will lead the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development and coordination efforts with various internal and external stakeholders.
You will evaluate financial issues of consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, and other forums and recommend corrective actions.
You will generate, recommend and implement new and revised financial management concepts to include Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR), methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization's programs.
You will demonstrate expertise working in various financial databases such as PBIS, Navy ERP, NEPS, EDW, Advana and Cobra to complete recurring deliverables.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating financial data or reports to identify and recommend solutions for program funding issues, trends or problems for an organization.
