You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Department of the Navy (FM&C) of ASN.
Duties
Lead remediation activities, to include, financial reporting, accounting/ financial policy development, corrective action plan (CAP) development and implementation.
Lead/work with Budget Submission Offices (BSOs) and external agencies to align processes/accounting methodologies.
Work with the Independent Public Auditor (IPA), senior leadership, and BSOs to align remediation strategies and prioritization.
Brief/advise Senior Leadership on progress, barriers to completion, recommended courses of action, and next steps.
Lead whitepaper/position paper development.
Advise on posting logic, Treasury Financial Manual (TFM), Financial Management Regulations (FMR), and Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) updates.

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
planning and directing financial or budgeting systems for broad, emerging, or similarly critical large-scale department/agency wide programs of national or international scope where no precedents exist; AND applying knowledge of the concepts, principles, laws, and regulations of financial administration or budgeting sufficient to generate new concepts and methodologies in the field
