You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist, at the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity, primarily serving as the Marine Corps' Subject Matter Expert (SME) on foreign amphibious equipment and technologies. This position is located at the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity in Quantico, VA.
Duties
You will perform intelligence research, analysis, and production of scientific and technical intelligence (STI) related to foreign amphibious warfare equipment and technologies including, amphibious vehicles (AAV), landing craft, and other systems.
You will represent USMC intelligence interests regarding amphibious combat and amphibious combat systems at national and international STI forums.
You will provide technical advice on a wide range of complex analysis/collection/dissemination of information and/or products relative to an assigned area(s) on political, economic, technical or military conditions for one or more foreign countries.
You will provide technical characteristics/capabilities/vulnerabilities/proliferation of military/dual-use civilian systems used to support the ship-to-shore movement, operations ashore, littoral operations, or operations in a sea-basing environment.
You will maintain liaison with personnel in other intelligence agencies, laboratories, services, and allied foreign governments to discuss production requirements and provide information.
You will, as required, serve as team leader for your assigned area(s), coordinating the work of the team, establishing priorities, guiding team members and being responsible for accuracy and completeness of team products.
You will serve as the activity representative at interagency and international meetings and conferences presenting and defending activity positions or issues in your area of expertise.

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Travel required for contingency/exercise support, briefings, conferences and training.
- Incumbent is subject to shift work.
- In accordance with MCIA PM/MCIA HC dated 24 May 12, all MCIA billets fall under the category subject to assignment.
- Employees may be called upon randomly, at any time, to interpret, speak, write and/or ready at the minimum qualifying level in accordance with NAVINTEL HRO INST 12550.2.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as the following: 1) Providing scientific and technical intelligence (STI) threat information on foreign amphibious systems to the Intelligence Community and Marine Corps operational forces; 2) Coordinating with project managers and their staff, as well as with other intelligence personnel, offices, and activities, to either develop or acquire threat intelligence data required for program or operational support; 3) Using extensive knowledge of USMC acquisition programs and DoD policy and regulations as they relate to acquisition programs to provide tailored STI to support the Marine Corps combat development system and force modernization programs pursuant to service roles, missions and Title X responsibility; 4) Developing and presenting papers and briefings on assigned areas to Senior U.S. government, DoD and USMC personnel in accordance with organizational standards.
