You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Executive Support Office, Code 1100, Administrative Office, Code 1102 ofNORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will gather and analyze data, recommends program changes, determines, and implements procedures and assures compliance with program intent.
You will develop plans, methods, procedures, and techniques for collecting, compiling, and presenting statistical data.
You will maintain documentation supporting trends analysis and determines historical databases from which to develop trends and prepares statistical reports.
You will evaluate problem areas and provides guidance to managers.
You will update the performance spreadsheet with changes to ratings, shares, and distribution decisions, tracks the changes made for subsequent notification to rating officials.
You will effectively manage the data during the performance management process.
You will carry out high priority assignments, studies, and projects assigned by the Division head on a wide variety of sensitive and confidential matters.
You will provide excellent customer service and contribute fairly to team assignments, working toward the successful completion of assigned tasks.
You will perform data analysis and visualization, data management and coordinative work associated with a wide range of management topics and issues as they relate to missions, functions, policies, programs, and operations.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience performing a wide range of management and administrative functions, providing data analysis and visualization or statistical data, developing data metric reports, establishing and maintaining software, database application, and reporting tools to capture and measure a variety of business sensitive information.
Experience developing, compiling, analyzing, and correlating data from a variety of sources with requirements to report findings by decision papers, spreadsheets, and/or briefing slides.
Experience conducting complex fact finding, comprehensive studies, analytical and problem-solving methods to identify and define problems and to develop workable solutions to improve Shipyard operations.
Experience providing prompt, professional, and courteous service to different levels of people in the organizational structure both written and orally, and ensuring they have timely response to questions and access to needed reference materials.
