You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM ANALYST in the Business Process Re-engineering Group (Code 1512), Ship Maintenance Performance Group Division (Code 1510), Naval Shipyard Support Office (Code 1500), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will oversee Process improvement, Project Management Fundamentals Course, and training instructions. You will plan, assign, and monitor the progress of workloads. You will establish performance standards, and complete performance evaluations. You will serve as primary leadership and point of contact for guidance, information, and actions concerning administrative and functional matters related to Project Management Community of Practice. You will ensure adherence and compliance to project management processes.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in supervision and management of direct reports. Experience in ship maintenance, repair, overhaul and modernization. Experience in Project Management, operation, cost performance regarding naval vessels for process improvements or similar. Experience with content, implementing, training and instructing Project Management Fundamental courses. Experience in overseeing process manuals, maintenance and reviews.
