Duties

You will perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions, and evaluate the feasibility of proposed new and/or re-engineered systems analysis development projects. You will consult with customers to identify and specify requirements, and develop overall functional and systems requirements and specifications. You will address system inconsistencies, system redundancies, priorities, conflicts, maximize the sharing of information, and prepare business cases for the application of IT solutions. You will document and solve design and development problems encountered during testing and/or implementation. You will technically review completed work projects and provide technical assistance and guidance as required.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 621 within 12 months of appointment.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver`s license.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
• This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying analytical techniques to plan, design, and implement new or improved information systems to meet business requirements for an organization; 2) Advising others on the merits of proposed or re-engineered system development projects; 3) Serving as a technical specialist for application development, implementation, and maintenance of IT system services/activities; and 4) Gathering, assembling, and analyzing data to translate information and develop IT solutions. Your experience in the information technology field must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
