About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army National Guard Readiness Center, Human Capital Management (HCM) Civilian Management Branch, in Arlington, Virginia.
About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.
Duties
Serve as the Customer Service Representative (CSR) for the Army National Guard (ARNG).
Serve as the telework program administrator responsible for establishing policies and procedures in accordance with mission and objectives of the command.
Serve as the expert for the Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS) and Automated Time, Attendance, and Production System (ATAAPS).
Plan, organized and advise on reorganizations, realignments and other manpower actions.
Give advice to employees and supervisors on civilian expeditionary workforce and military mobilization.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing payroll system applications such as Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS) and Defense Financial and Accounting Service (DFAS) Remedy to input payroll data, process pay actions, initiate corrective actions, retroactive adjustments, perform reconciliation, run reports, and conduct complex pay audits; guiding management and employees on telework policies; reviewing and verifying employee time and attendance information entered in an automated system such as Automated Time, Attendance, and Production System (ATAAPS); providing guidance to employees regarding benefits, leave, and pay issues; conducting manpower studies to aid in organizational reports in such areas as organizational structure, resources utilization, personnel accountability.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
