Duties
Serve as a senior technical travel entitlement advisor/analyst responsible for the interpretation, administration and implementation of travel-related laws and regulations.
Communicates the organization’s mission, vision, and values to the team and ensures they are integrated into team goals, objectives, work plans, products and services.
Ensure team is integrated into goals, objectives, work plans, products and services related to travel claims.
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checks work in progress and upon completion for quality, adherence to instructions and to ensure objectives are met.
Serves as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiatives and in consensus building activities among team members.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: reviewing/analyzing financial management methods, practices, and principles relative to travel pay including claim processing; possessing demonstratable knowledge of travel regulations and related travel financial systems and disbursements; and making recommendations or implementing process improvements on financial systems in order to improve travel processing.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
