About the Position: Serves as Capability Development Analyst in the capabilities development process for the Synthetic Training Environment (STE) and Integrated Training Environment (ITE) enablers for the National Simulation Center.
Duties
Executes evaluative, planning, and analytical processes and techniques in assessing the Army’s ITE and STE requirements in DOTMLPF-P domains.
Identifies DOTMLPF-P capability gaps through the Capabilities Based Assessment and other Joint Capability Integration Development System (JCIDS) processes and develops gap solutions with regards to ITE and STE portfolio areas.
Identifies the approved operational and organizational requirements, arguments, or issues so that analytical organizations can conduct detailed assessments.
Develops and documents ITE and STE portfolios and other material requirement documents per the organizational instructions.
Reviews doctrinal literature and requirements documents to ensure compatibility with ongoing DOTMLPF-P development work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) for business for up to 30% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

- Defense Acquisition University Graduate per Army Directive 2017-22 requirements
- CP32 Level 2 Certification

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) recommending research studies to support training development; 2) assisting with developing gap solutions for virtual and/or simulated environments and 3) reviewing the training capabilities and requirements throughout the training development process.
