You will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist in the Infrastructure Planning and Facilities Management Division EC52000 of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.
Duties
You will provide support and back up to the facilities and space manager to ensure effective use of facilities and resources in relation to the organizational mission.
You will be responsible for executing tasking as directed by lead or senior personnel in support of facility and maintenance programs.
You will perform minor construction, maintenance, operations, and repair of facilities, buildings, and equipment.
You will serve as a facilities project technical point of contact and provides ongoing, day-to-day facilities liaison support between NAWCWD and service providers.
You will perform minor work such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, cement work, painting, flooring, framing, roofing, t-bar/ceiling grid, door, and window installation and repairs as well as troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Qualifications
(GS-11:) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Overseeing facility repairs and determining facility requirements for the customer needs; 2) Identifying maintenance, repair work, new construction, alteration projects, replacement of existing equipment, or facilities services; 3) Utilizing extensive knowledge of building components, various types of project construction and project management to complete complex facilities projects; 4) Demonstrated understanding of space management and space moves and relocation; 5) Independently developing facility and equipment requirements against customer needs and to develop project scopes; 6) Independently coordinating and managing the complex facility issues, resolving conflicts, and monitoring projects.
(GS-09): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Experience pertaining to facilities repair and determining facility requirements for the customer needs; 2) Identifying maintenance, repair work, new construction, alteration projects, replacement of existing equipment, or facilities services; 3) Utilizing knowledge of building components, various types of project construction and project management; 4) Demonstrated understanding of space management and space moves and relocation.; 5) Developing facility and equipment requirements against customer needs and to develop project scopes.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
