Duties
Monitor/update usage and stock levels and other requisitioning controls to eliminate excess inventory and sustain production requirements.
Purify Final Consumption Report comparing items received and used versus items on hand.
Recommend use of substitute or interchangeable parts, assemblies, or components to reduce cost, problems in supply/procurement of original items.
Process Financial Liability Investigations for Property Loss (FLIPL) on government property which may be lost, damaged or destroyed through conditions other than normal wear and tear.
Review completed inventories and conducts causative research to identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Direct and schedules inventories by responsible personnel for both standard and sensitive government property in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain records that show current value of property record, item identification, authorization, on-hand balances, property condition, and location of designated property.
Assign responsibilities to the Primary Hand Receipt Holder (PHRH) and ensures that change of inventory is performed upon newly assigned duties.
Monitor and maintain the installation property accountability program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license.
- Obtain and maintain a Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card (OF 346).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently, more with assistance.
- Must pass a pre-employment and annual physical examinations.
- A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
- Temporary duty travel up to 25% may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Utilize various automated supply systems; (2) Conduct inventories of equipment and supplies; and (3) Use documented procedures to order/obtain materials and parts for maintenance and repairs of equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management, or Logistics.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
